Welcome to Unifunl (“we,” “our,” or “us”). We provide a conversational commerce platform that allows merchants (“Clients”) to manage customer interactions across multiple channels, including WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook Messenger, from a single dashboard.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information we process. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard data, specifically regarding data obtained through Meta Platforms (WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram).

2. Information We Collect

A. Platform Data (Meta/WhatsApp/Facebook/Instagram)

When a Client connects their WhatsApp Business API, Facebook Page, or Instagram Business Account to Unifunl, we collect the following “Platform Data” via Meta APIs:

  • Conversation Data: Incoming and outgoing messages (text, images, voice notes, documents) from WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and Instagram Direct Messages.
  • Public Profile Information: Public user names, Profile Pictures, and phone numbers (for WhatsApp users) of the end-users interacting with our Client.
  • Engagement Data: Comments on Facebook Posts and Instagram Media.

B. Merchant Account Data

  • Name, business contact email, phone number, and store URL (Shopify/WooCommerce).

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected data solely to provide the Unifunl service to our Clients. Specifically:

  • Unified Inbox: To display messages and comments in a centralized dashboard so Clients can read and reply.
  • AI Automation: To process message content using our AI Agent for the purpose of drafting responses, answering product inquiries, and facilitating orders on behalf of the Client.
  • Order Synchronization: To match conversation data with e-commerce inventory and order status.

⚠️ Strict Usage Limit: We do not use Platform Data for our own marketing purposes, nor do we sell, rent, or trade Platform Data to third parties or advertisers. The data belongs to the Merchant.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We only share data in the following limited circumstances:

  • With the Merchant: The Client (Business Account Owner) has full access to the messages sent to their specific accounts.
  • Service Providers: We use trusted third-party sub-processors (e.g., Google Cloud, OpenAI/Google Gemini) to host our infrastructure and provide AI processing. These providers process data only according to our strict instructions.
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law or a valid court order.

5. Data Retention and Deletion (User Rights)

We retain Platform Data only as long as necessary to provide our services to the Client.

How to Request Data Deletion

In compliance with Meta’s data deletion requirements:

  1. End-Users: If you have messaged a business using Unifunl (via WhatsApp, Messenger, or Instagram) and wish to have your data deleted, please contact the business directly or email us at contact@unifunl.io. We will process the deletion within 30 days.
  2. Merchants (Clients): You can disconnect your WhatsApp/Facebook/Instagram accounts from the Unifunl Dashboard at any time. Upon disconnection, we stop collecting new data. You may request full account deletion by emailing contact@unifunl.io.
  3. Meta Settings: You can also remove our app’s access via your Facebook settings here: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=business_tools

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest, to protect Platform Data from unauthorized access.
